Immigration Reform

On Saturday May 1st, many people rallied or protested (not sure which), for Immigration Reform. I have been trying to figure out just what does immigration reform mean. The politicians in Washington say we need immigration reform, the people in this country illegally say we need immigration reform. Don’t we already have a immigration policy? We have laws that say you must apply with the proper authorities in which ever country you are from to receive permission and proper documentation to enter in to the United States if you are not a US citizen. We have laws that gives the Federal Government the authority to arrest and deport people who do not follow the immigration rules and enter the United States illegally without
