Democracy is simple :
Rule one.Listen to the people (who pay you to listen to them).
Rule two. Respect the will of the people (who pay you to respect them).
The EU HAS DONE NEITHER (see referendums).
Why vote for a parliament that only came into existence through clauses in treaties and not popular demand ?
Why vote for a parliament that voted against having it’s expenses made public ?
Why vote for a parliament that voted against us holding referendums on the Lisbon treaty/constitution ?
“Correction”
what a big difference, a guy said that spelling is the science of the idiot, looks like it applies to you.
Switzerland is known as the most neutral country of the West, so you know… By the way they accepted Schengen, Norway too… They could one day join us and for Norway, it’s a problem with fishing. Could be solved in the next following years…
stop now, just stop your silliness, you’re making a fool of yourself.
Spenner56, Norway and Switzerland happened to choose to stay out, and therefore had no say in deciding what this democratically elected body calls itself (it could be Cheesecake Club for that matter). Both countries saw their last wars over 60 years ago.
The handful of European countries who have seen wars during the last two decades seem to be rather keen to join. Any idea why?
Other than that, I respect your right to form an opinion, and you criticism is welcome.
Correction…these are not elections for a “European parliament ” ( several European countries e.g. Norway and Switzerland ) are not taking part !
These are elections for the EU parliament.
The same parliament that recently voted AGAINST having their expenses made public.
The same parliament that voted AGAINST the democratic will of French,Dutch and Irish voters on the constitution/Lisbon treaty.
Now they expect us to vote for them and to give them credibility !
It can vary somewhat from state to state but typically only the voters registered within a specific party are afforded the opportunity to participate in that party’s primary or caucus. There are very few exceptions to that here in the states.
Some states have “open” primaries, meaning you don’t have to be a member of that party to vote in their primary. Others have” closed “primaries meaning you must be registered member of the party in order to vote in their primary. You are right in that it is a delegate that’s being voted for, not the individual. Some states have “winner take all primaries” ,meaning if you win the popular vote in the primary you get all the delegates. Others have systems that give delegates proportionally, meaning each of the candidates receives delegates according to the percentage of their vote.
Caucuses are basically the same system. It can all be very complicated.
Mercy, I hope you know now you’re on the UN watch-list and sanctions will be imposed upon you. You may even be on “double secret probation”. If you keep it up, you will be given a harsh warning and the original sanctions may happen all over again.
Unfortunately you can’t. The US needs to drop out of the corrupt and benign UN. They take billions of US money and then treat us with disdain. Any organization who puts the worst human right violators on the Human Rights Council is a joke.

It is the European Parliament. And Frank is cool.
Spenner, live with it and vote, if you are allowed. If not, make your little country join the EU – if we let you.

There are people who have not declared a party affiliation.
In some states, they can vote. I believe that they can vote for California Democrats, but not California Republicans.
The candidate earns delegates during the primaries. Also, during the general election.
depends on the state, fla wont let independts vote in primary, dosent seem like freedom to me, everyone should be able to vote not just dems

SORRY BUT YOU CAN’T
We can’t. There is nothing you can do about it.
You vote for the UN official by who you place in the oval office. the President of the United States appoints the ambassador to the UN.
Here is the best way. Expel the U N. Send the U N no more money.
UN is a joke.
American Citizens don’t like to vote for jokes.
well, some do.
