They may sense something is soon to happen, and that sense could be in different forms such as sight, sound or fear, amongst other things. The difficult part is describing exactly what they sensed so that others can understand it. Placing these sights into a specific time frame is often very difficult, if not nearly impossible, but as the time of such an event gets closer, the "visions" and such become stronger, more frequent and "felt" by more people. But, it must also be understood, that what is sensed, is not necessarily definitely going to happen, only that it's probability is more likely. The American government, some years back, tested sensitive people, to discover the potential of the psychic. The name of the project was "Stargate", and was eventually, after many years of research, officially shut down. The exact specifics of the project are still termed as National Security, but some of the people leading the research, continued, in an unofficial capacity, to carry on "researching" things further.
